“If I told you about her, what would I say? That they lived happily ever after? I believe they did. That they were in love? That they remained in love? I’m sure that’s true. But when I think of her, of Elisa, the only thing that comes to mind is a poem, whispered by someone in love hundreds of years ago. ‘Unable to perceive the shape of you, I find you all around me. Your presence fills my eyes with your love. It humbles my heart. For you are everywhere.’”

Happy Birthday to me!!! wish me a Happy Birthday @ultimacaricia 💖
Being conventionally attractive is a HUGE advantage. Pretty people don’t even need to have a good personality to make it far in life.
There’s a phenomena I learned about in social psych. I can’t remember exactly what it’s called. Basically, people are more likely to believe pretty people are good people, so they’re able to get away with more.
It’s a thing with tall people too, if you’re taller people are more likely to assume you have authority/trust you
Maybe for tall men.
it’s for women too, but I doubt a tall woman commands more respect than a short man. probably depends on the situation, but a tall woman will be more trusted/respected than a short woman.
You’re talking to the female version of Goliath …. and I’m telling you that this only applies to tall men LOL
nah, tall women are viewed as abnormal in society. men see being tall as a masculine trait and tend to treat tall women almost exactly how they treat shorter men. because in their minds tall women are just short “men”.
it’s in the same category as being attractive. when men see women they don’t find attractive, they often compare them to men. often pointing out features that they consider masculine… like being tall. or muscular.
^^^^
the phenomenon about attractive people youre thinking of is called the halo effect.
6K notes later, I got it now. Lol
